Fantastic Meels. Light weight, good for beginners learning the technique.
Great balance, superb quality and a beautiful finish. If tradition is important, and I guess
it is for many practitioners of the Zurkhaneh disciplines, it might be good to know that the
equipment is actually made in Iran.
As for Kashi Azad, his kindness and patience is beyond reasonable expectations.
I can fully recommend buying equipment from Kashi Azad.

Great starter set. Don’t let the size fool you. Because of the weight distribution and swing length it can be more challenging to use that iron clubbells weighing four times as much.

Just received my 3kg meels. They are a great addition to my kit and nicely made. Had a session with them tonight and there’s a lot of difference swinging the meel vs the Indian club.

Very nice looking clubs. A little beat up looking but doesn’t bother me. I am glad I went with the 4 kg set because they seem to be the perfect weight for me (beginner). Feel better than a cheaper set I purchased elsewhere especially in the handle. Will definitely purchase from here again in the future.

I had originally ordered a 6kg pair first, and later I ended up ordering this 4kg Meel with the Shena board so I have more options to work with. Now that I did, I realized how important the Shena board is for this kind of training, and the lighter weights to start on certain exercises.
The quality is astounding, and you are working out with a tool made with a craftsmanship and a beauty hard to match. I am absolutely pleased with with my 4kg Meel and Shena.
The delivery was about 7 days total door to door, which is pretty fast for international orders.

The 3kg set are a useful additive to my collection (5,7,12) as they are used to warmup with or try new movements I’m not yet accustomed to.
The heavier weights are less forgiving in this aspect, so I recommend getting a pair for these purposes.

First experience with Meels after many years of traditional dumbbell and barbell use and even a little use of Indian club swinging. Glad I started with these 3kg ones as the weight and swinging is very unique. Love how my shoulders feel after working with these authentic traditional wood Meels. Still working on improving my flexibility and strength in the wrists, elbows and shoulders with them. A workout like no other fitness device.

Just dropping a quick review expressing my deep admiration for the craftsmanship of the Persian meels offered by Dr. Kashi. They are superbly balanced and the woodwork is phenomenal.
This is not my first time working with clubs or maces, all of which have been mass produced/machine cast. These Persian meels are a completely different experience altogether. The spirit of their creation is clear at first glance.
As to the weight, Dr. Kashi was more than happy to provide input as a healthcare provider and longtime practitioner. If you have some doubt as to where to start, just ask. There are also plenty of resources available on his site to help guide you through the practice.
